III.V.III Local community forest certification system

Only local communities that certified their community forests are allowed to supply the resin to cooperative. The local certification system has been developed based on simple rules. The local communities must accept local conservation plan containing these principles of sustainable management, i) obligation to care for trees and forest regeneration, ii) to collect only naturally oozed resin, iii) don’t tape the trees. Guarantor of the forest certification is selected local NGO, that checks compliance with the rules by all stakeholders.
