II.VI. Cadaba insularis A.G.Mill.

Cadaba insularis is a shrub or small tree up to 3 m in the Capparaceae family endemic to the island of Socotra. Based on the large area of distribution probably widely spread in the past but due to the demand for wood the population has declined. The species occurs in low and middle elevations mostly close to the sea. Currently only 98 mature individuals are known, most of them heavily grazed. Natural regeneration is almost missing; we found only 3 seedlings in the nature.
